What Semaglutide Is

A GLP-1 medication that quiets the appetite noise.

Semaglutide is a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist, the same active ingredient in branded medications like Ozempic and Wegovy. It slows how quickly your stomach empties, eases appetite signals from the brain, and improves insulin response. Most patients feel meaningfully less hungry within the first couple of weeks.

How It's Taken
Weekly self-injection

A small weekly injection you give yourself at home, with simple guidance during your first video visit so you feel confident.

Starting Dose
0.25 mg per week

Everyone starts low at 0.25 mg weekly for the first few weeks. our care team titrates the dose upward in intervals based on how you respond and your goals.

Maintenance Dose
1.0 to 2.4 mg / week

Most patients settle around 1.0 mg. our care team guides you to the dose that delivers results without unnecessary side effects, never faster than your body wants.

What's Included

One monthly price, everything you need.

No surprise add-ons. Your plan bundles the medication, the supplies, and the clinical relationship into a single monthly price, with the consult built into your first month.

  • Your compounded semaglutide, dosed to your titration step
  • Everything you need to take it at home
  • Messaging access to our care team between visits
  • Dose adjustments and follow-up as you progress
  • Initial video consult, included in your first month
Who Semaglutide Helps

Built for steady, lasting loss, not a quick fix.

Semaglutide works best as part of a real plan. It is not a shortcut and it is not a substitute for sleep, protein, and movement. our care team prescribes it for patients who are ready for both the medication and the habits around it.

Likely a good fit if you

  • Have weight you have struggled to lose, often driven by appetite and cravings
  • Are open to a weekly self-injection and a 12 to 18 month commitment
  • Have a BMI of 27 or higher with weight-related conditions, or 30 or higher
  • Want a provider you can actually message between visits
  • Live in Texas and would rather skip the in-person clinic visit

Probably not the right fit if you

  • Have a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN2
  • Are pregnant, breastfeeding, or actively trying to conceive
  • Have a history of severe pancreatitis or active gastroparesis
  • Are looking for a short-term fix for a few vanity pounds
  • Are not ready to learn a simple self-injection technique
Pricing by Dose

Pay for the dose you actually need.

Pricing scales with your dose, so you are never paying for medication you are not taking. Flat "one price for everyone" programs charge maintenance patients the same as max-dose patients. We price by dose instead, holding steady between adjacent low doses where the difference is small.

Good To Know

The fine print, in plain English.

Semaglutide is the active ingredient in well-known branded medications like Ozempic and Wegovy. The version we prescribe is compounded by a licensed pharmacy specifically for you, based on your clinical visit. Compounded medications are not separately approved by the FDA as finished pharmaceutical products. They are legal when prescribed for a specific patient based on a clinical evaluation.

As with any medication, your experience will be your own. Our care team starts every patient on a low dose and titrates slowly so your body has time to adapt. Your care team is a message away if anything comes up between visits, and the plan adjusts as you go. Individual results vary, and the best outcomes happen when the medication is paired with sleep, protein, and movement.

Common Questions

The honest answers to what most patients ask.

Clinical trial averages at the maintenance dose show roughly 12 to 15 percent total body weight loss over 12 to 18 months. Real-world results vary based on your starting weight, your dose, and how the medication is paired with protein, sleep, and movement. Most patients notice meaningfully less hunger within the first couple of weeks.
The active ingredient is the same. The branded products are FDA-approved finished pharmaceuticals. The compounded semaglutide we prescribe is prepared by a licensed compounding pharmacy for you specifically. Compounded medications are not separately approved by the FDA as finished pharmaceutical products. They are legal when prescribed for a specific patient based on a clinical evaluation.
No. We are based in Dallas, but because care is delivered by video, you can enroll from anywhere in Texas. You only need to be physically located in Texas at the time of your visit, since our clinicians are licensed to care for patients in this state. Your medication ships to your door wherever you are in Texas.
After your visit, our care team sends the prescription to a licensed compounding pharmacy. The pharmacy ships your monthly supply directly to your door with everything you need and clear instructions. Shipping is billed at checkout and appears on each refill.
We order a simple lab panel (A1c and TSH) at intake, billed separately at about $75. You can complete it through a partner lab near you, or upload equivalent recent results from your own primary care provider. We accept existing labs from within the last 3 months for GLP-1 programs.
We ask for at least twenty-four hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a visit. Late cancellations and no-shows are subject to a $50 fee. Things come up, we understand, just give us as much notice as you can.
